The day when Our Blessed Mother was assumed into heaven to be with Her Son and Our Lord, Jesus Christ.
We resound "Hail Holy Queen!" and we salute the holy Theotokos: the Mother of God! Her prayer is so powerful, we constantly rely on her intercession!
Remember 'tis a day of obligation, though unfortunately people don't want to be burdoned with going to Mass TWICE in a week, Heaven forbid.
As a result, it's been moved to the following Sunday in most places.
Please, attend Mass today.
How can you not listen to that beautiful, beautiful motet without dropping to tears is beyond me.
