My first attempt

Today I tried to make a Tumblr account thing....I don't know though. I don't like it, it's too hard to use. Besides, there are WAY too many posh people on it..."hipsters" is what people are calling them now.

Perhaps I'm just not technoligically advanced enough to attempt such endeavours.

Cameron's push for so-called "same-sex marriage"

Already stinging from criticisms that he has caved to an overbearing, anti-democratic European Union, UK Prime Minister David Cameron has initiated a sudden push for “gay marriage” in an effort to preempt a European court ruling that would likely declare the UK’s current marriage laws discriminatory, according to Nigel Farage, the leader of the UK’s leading libertarian Eurosceptic party, UKIP.

“In the 12 years I’ve been an MEP I have received a lorry load of communication from constituents, asking me to support this and oppose that,” Farage wrote this weekend in the Daily Express, “but never in all that time has anyone ever asked him either to support or oppose ‘gay marriage.’”

Farage described an unexpected meeting in Brussels with leading UK homosexualist campaigner Peter Tatchell, whose case against the British legal definition of marriage is about to be heard in the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).

“Of course, stupid me,” Farage wrote, “Why didn’t I think of that? There just had to be a European angle.”
Farage’s UKIP legal advisers said that Tatchell’s case at the ECHR is nearly certain to win, which would force Cameron into the position of being pushed into a decision on the issue by a foreign court that is increasingly hated by the British public. “It would show him weak and ineffectual,” Farage wrote.
“The Tatchell express has been spotted coming down the tracks and Cameron has decided to get out of its way.”

“The fact that Cameron has suddenly taken up this cause, which has not really been on the horizon at all, suggests that the case is heading towards an imminent hearing and his legal advice is the same as mine.”

Suprise.He has a duty to the country, yet caves into the Union first. David Cameron is supposed to belong to the Conservative Party, well this shows his true blue colours.

Well it's the first day of Spring and we're having snow squalls.

Meanwhile inside, yours truly is keeping calm with a cuppa tea and digestives, only one digestive because it's Lent, while doing a little web-surfing. Happy Equinox everyone, maybe you'll find sand in your holy water font today!

A Papal Blessing

The church (pictured) will become the first in Britain to be entrusted to the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, a society of Apostolic life of Pontifical Right.
The Celebrant at the Mass, which begins at 10.30am, will be Monsignor Gilles Wach, the French founder of the Institute, and the homily will be preached by the Rt Rev. Mark Davies, the Bishop of Shrewsbury. People are expected to travel from different parts of the country and some from overseas to the church that the Bishop of Shrewsbury hopes will become a special centre of devotion for people from the immediate area and far beyond.
The Vatican, which has taken an interest in the establishment of the shrine church, issued a decree last  month announcing the Papal Blessing and Plenary Indulgence  to all the faithful who attend the Mass.
It reads: “The Apostolic Penitentiary, empowered by a faculty granted to it in a special way by our Holy Father Benedict XVI, by Divine Providence Pope, happily grants his Lordship the Most Reverend Mark Davies, Bishop of Shrewsbury, that, on the 24th March next, on which the pastoral care of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul and St Philomena is solemnly entrusted to the members of the Institute of Christ the King Sovereign Priest, after the offering of the Divine Sacrifice, he may impart to all the faithful present, who, their souls entirely separated from attachment to sin, take part in the sacred mysteries, a Papal Blessing with an attached Plenary Indulgence, which may be gained under the usual conditions (sacramental Confession, Eucharistic Communion and Prayer for the intentions of the Supreme Pontiff).
“Those faithful unable for a reasonable cause to be present at the sacred rites may devoutly receive this Papal Blessing and the Plenary Indulgence, according to the norms, if they follow the rites with a pious intention of mind by means of radio or television broadcast. Nothing to the contrary withstanding.”

Hurray! The Institute of Christ the King finally have a Parish in Britain! Their missions in Ireland are doing so well, what might be in store for them in this new endeavour! Read more here on the Diocesan website.

To thee, O Blessed Joseph, we have recourse in our affliction, and having implored the help of thy most holy Spouse, we seek with confidence thy patronage also. Defend, O thou most watchful guardian of the Holy Family, the chosen offspring of Jesus Christ. Keep from us, O most loving father, all blight of error and corruption. Aid us from on high, O thou our most valiant defender, in this conflict with the powers of darkness. And even as of old thou didst rescue the Child Jesus from the peril of His life, so now defend God's Holy Church from the snares of the enemy and from all adversity. Shield us ever under thy patronage, so that imitating thy example and strengtheded by thy help, we may live a holy life, die a happy death, and attain to everlasting bliss in heaven.
