I have unfortunately had the pleasure of browsing through a Grade 6 religion text book from the school district in my area. What a headache it gave me! It is called "Journeys through Faith!" but is more properly titles "Distortions of Faith!". It is one of the more, err liberal .... thats not the word, umm .... very far left .... umm, lets just go with uberliberal. Yes. It is one of the most uberliberal books I have ever layed hands on. It teaches that Hinduism, Sikhism, Buddhism and Aboriginal religions are all a key to salvation. Heresy. It also has a chapter called "Her Gift" or "Josies Gift" or something like that. Anywho, it then goes on to say that her gift from God is litrgical dance! It then, in the corner of the page shows a Catholic Church with two happy-go-clappy women dancing infront of the altar in a flimsy dress and a tshirt. There is a bishop there, too. Guess what he is doing: absolutely nothing. He is sitting there just watching having the time of his life. It also has some obnoxious art from the modern artist (I cringe) "He Qi"

These children, mere children are being taught falsely. They are not learning about religion, they are learning about how to grow up and be good heretics. They are learning that blasphemy is good, and will earn you salvation. Well, thats not how it is. What ever happened to good ol' education that you see in some orthodox Catholic schools today. I am upset with it, and it is really sad to hear that these poor children will be taught this stuff.
