"Dust thou art, and to Dust, thou shalt return"

"Remember, O man, that dust thou art, and to dust thou shalt return"
Listen, during Mass, today. Make sure the priest did't say anything like

  • Remember my brothers and sisters, that you are dust and to dust you will go back to

  • You are dirt, and to dirt you will return

  • You are dust, and then you shall go back to dust.

It would be highly unorthodox. No tie-dye vestments, no children lounging in the sanctuary (and I will be sure, that it probably wasn't the childrens decision, God Bless 'em), no clay chalices or patens, not pagan incense. You would (and still will some places) encounter many abuses like the ones I mentioned by Priests who have misinterpreted Vatican II (a.k.a. "Those who are {supposedly} in the Spirit of Vatican II!")

Memento, homo, quia pulvis es, et in pulverem reverteris
